First comes sex, then comes marriage
The Love Bug – you never know when it’s going to hit you! One minute, you’re looking around for nothing in particular, the next moment, you’ve found the man/woman of your dreams. That’s what happened with two members who found love in the last place you’d expect – an adult dating site! We asked blushing bride Colombiachula how it all went down:
Question: Why did you first join the site? What were you hoping to get out of it?
Answer: I was getting divorced after 21 years of marriage, my kids were grown, and I found myself with few friends because I spent most of my time been a mother, a wife and working. There was no time left for friends, so I decided to turn into the Internet thinking that it was easier, faster and secure.
Q: Who made the first move?
A: I made the first move. We were both in the chatroom. I liked how he responded to another member, so I pulled his cam up and started talking to him. The following day, he IM’d me, I got it on my cell because was out of town. After that we kept talking through email for about 2 months, and then he decided to come here to meet me in person. He was deployed across seas when we met in the chatroom, so we had to wait to meet up.
Q: So when and how did the proposal take place?
A: He spent 2 wonderful weeks here. After he went back to his base in CA, he mentioned getting married, but I didn’t take it seriously because it was too soon for me. He invited me to Marine’s Ball and that he would love for me to be there with him, because it was his last ball as a marine. We started planning and he mentioned again that we should get married and he would arrange all the paperwork once I got there. I flew in October 31st, and we decided to get married on November 8th, we applied online for the license and got married November 10th.
Q: After you got married, you decided to keep your profile active on the site – why and how does he feel about it?
A: I have made several good friends in here, that’s why I keep coming back. He knows and accepts it, because he knows that I have so much fun when that I come here and chat with my friends. I’ve made the adjustment in my profile saying that I was married and was just looking for friends.
Q: What do you like most about the site?
A: The kind of people that I’ve met in here, even though there is also some tards who can get on my nerves. I’ve found very nice, smart, sweet, polite, caring and funny people. I really feel at home when I get to the chatroom and find my roomies. I love it, and have such a great time chatting with them.
